Yoga for adults with special needs
Tuesday, 16th March, @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 5:00pm on Tuesday, repeating indefinitely

” I like meeting up with my friends and learning all about yoga and how it will help to keep me fit and healthy. I really enjoy it”
“My favourite yoga pose is; putting my hands on my hips, stepping side to side and pointing my toes.”
Margaret
“The benefits for Wendy are learning the different ways of exercise, mixing with her friends and relaxing with them after class. The size of the class is ideal as she would be lost in a crowd. Yoga will also help her to reach a healthy weight and maintain it.”
Paul Kelly and his carer Phillippa Wilson
Paul says that he loves coming to yoga class to relax after a busy day; it relaxes his muscles as he has lots of movement due to his cerebral palsy, and his family have noticed a big difference for Paul too.
Paul enjoys mastering the exercises and feels very positive afterwards. During the lesson Paul reports that he enjoys working in pairs and also when the entire group work together, and he enjoys meeting up with new and old friends.
Paul says,
“I struggle to find something that is suitable or affordable to do on Tuesday evenings, so yoga has given me a new lease of life.”
Phillippa says, “I feel so much better after the class as I have a very busy day supporting people, and I feel very lucky that Paul invites me along to stretch and to relax at the end of the session.”
